NTPC Ramagundam under its CSR-CD distributed 18,436 notebooks to 4,609 students of 45 schools of project-affected villages in the vicinity of NTPC Ramagundam on 14/12/2022 (Wednesday) at the Employee Development Center (EDC).

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest, Shri Sunil Kumar, Executive Director, NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana, said that NTPC Ramagundam is always committed to support government schools of its project-affected villages and is constantly taking initiatives for the overall development through digitalization of existing classes, distribution of bicycles, construction of additional classroom and dormitory halls.

“NTPC Ramagundam takes great pride in being part of the academic journey of students and we urge you to use the notebooks wisely and make your bright future” he added.

Principal, Gandhipark said, “Most of the students of government schools come from a marginalized and vulnerable section of society and are unable to afford the cost of their education. Such initiatives would encourage them to attend school and largely improve their overall performance”.

CSR officials of NTPC Ramagundam mentioned that the other remaining schools of the project-affected villages shall also be covered phase-wise.

Head of HR, Smt Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan, Teachers, and supporting staff of 45 government schools were also present on the occasion along with the office bearers of the Union and Association.
